WOMAN’S ESSENCE 2020

 After 4 successful editions of the Woman’s Essence project in Milan, Paris, Madrid, Venice and important collaborations as: PONS Foundation, JOBS Foundation, BRNO Auction House,  Bangladesh Pavilion of 58th Biennale di Venezia.

We are honored to announce that this year the project has been officially recognized by
Center for Unesco Bologna as a 2020 project for excellence for GENDER EQUALITY, one of 17 goals of Agenda 2030 of United Nations.

The project is in collaboration with Center for UNESCO Bologna.

The project Woman’s Essence created to give visibility, makes known to public and support women in contemporary art.
The project represents the contemporary women artists from over 30 counties, that from the role of passive representation object and inspiration goes to the active as an able artist to express creativity in the light of particular sensitivity, image of the “other” Art.
It will be present the book with the criticism by Prof. Di Trapani. In this edition all selected artists will be awarded with Woman Art Award 2020.

 

WOMAN ART AWARD 2020

The Woman Art Award  is a worldwide contemporary art prize created
to discover, recognise and give support to a women artists. The
Prize aims to make a major contribution to the careers of
artists involved in the dynamic cultural development of societies
in transition, and give a voice to women artists and their
issues that would otherwise remain silent.

Center for UNESCO Bologna

UNESCO is a specialized United Nations’ agency coordinated by the Economic and Social Council, linked to the UN General Assembly, and it addresses economic, cultural, social, educational and health issues.
The aim of the Organization is “to contribute to peace and security by promoting collaboration between nations through education, science and culture to guarantee universal respect for justice, law and human rights and the fundamental freedoms recognized by the United Nations Charter to all peoples, regardless of race.
Patronage is the most prestigious form of support offered to events by the Center UNESCO in Bologna.
It represents the discretionary will to morally promote activities, projects, initiatives that have a high scientific, educational or cultural value, in accordance with the principles listed in the Guidelines.

Palazzo Velli is an interdisciplinary and multifunctional exhibition space in the enchanting setting of the Trastevere district.

Located in the heart of Rome, Palazzo Velli Expo is a historic Roman residence built at the end of the 14th century.

In 1970 the restoration work, carried out in respect of materials, techniques and colors of the fifteenth century, has allowed Palazzo Velli to characterize itself as a structure full of historical and artistic elements, with at the same time all the facilities and the essential technological aspects.

To define it today as a multifunctional space ideal for hosting events such as: exhibitions, conferences, exhibitions, company presentations and exclusive advertising operations. In tune with what happens in the major European capitals, the Palace has been conceived as a cultural space full of historical and artistic suggestions.

A center in continuous evolution and growth that offers visitors refined projects of young and established artists and, for customers, technological standards of excellence suitable for the realization of any type of event.

Laura Francesca Di Trapani

Art Critic, Art Historian

Art historian and independent curator, studied at the University La Sapienza in Rome. Critic of contemporary art with a particular focus towards the new generations of artists. She has curated numerous exhibitions of contemporary art at galleries and foundations of Bologna, Palermo, Milan, Frankfurt and Image and Milan Fair.

She collaborates with numerous magazines such as X-press published by Deutsche Bank and Espoarte. Authoress of the successful book "Essenza".
